Favorite Nail Polish in My Collection

Over the last few months, I have turned into a nail polish addict. I add to my collection every time  I have the extra money. My collection does not have any high end nail polish as of yet, but I am looking to eventually add some.

Today, I thought that I would list here some of my favorite colors in my collection. I will be showing swatches of each color. I will also be  sharing the good and the bad of each of the brands. The best part about these polishes is that the most expensive one is $2.00.

The first one I want to talk about is the most expensive. It is by Wet 'N Wild. It is in their Megalast line. It is a gorgeous shade of red. The name of this polish is called Rebel in Love. I think that is a perfect name for this color. This bottle cost me $2.00 at Dollar General. One of the things I love about this line of polishes is the width of the brush. I can normally apply one coat in just one swipe. Rebel in Love is a one coater. It is very opaque. The only negative I have about this polish is that you have to be careful as it has a tendency to run down the brush.

The next three that I want to mention come from the brand Broadway Nails. These can be found at Dollar General for just one dollar. There are a lot of shades, but for now I only have four of them. One of the shades I will be discussing I do not have a picture of the swatch as could not get a clear one as it is too dark on the swatch wheel for my camera.

The color I want to talk about that I do not have a picture of, is a beautiful shimmery grey color. The name of this polish is Gunmetal. The name pretty much describes this color to a tee. It is really pretty on the nail. As you can see by the picture the amount of the shimmer is pretty light.

The next polish from the brand Broadway Nails I want to mention is a very pretty blue. The name of the color is Bowling Ball. I do not know how they came up with the name of some of the polishes, but nonetheless it is a beautiful color. This one is fully opaque in two thin coats or one thick on. I do have to add with all of the Broadway Nail polishes, you have to be careful as they have a tendency to run down the brush, so you will have to wipe it quite a bit to keep that from happening, but the color payoff is well worth the extra work.

The third one that I want to talk about from the Broadway Nails line is a beautiful neon orange. You do not need a white base under this one, but a white base really makes this color pop. The name of this color is Sunflower. Again, I do not know how they came up with this name, as to me sunflowers are yellow. I have a thing for bright orange nail polish so could not pass this one up. This one does take two coats to be fully opaque, as it is a sheer formula.

The last one I want to talk about from the Broadway Nails line is a really bright in your face green. The name of this polish is Central Park. This polish is a little sheer and does take three coats. It is, however worth it. I love this color, especially for summer. It is so bright that it pops on its own, but on top of a white base it really pops.

All in all I do highly recommend this brand. For a dollar, you cannot beat the number of shades available as well as the color payoff. One of the other downfalls to this polish, however, is that it only lasts a couple of days or so before it starts chipping.

The next three polishes I want to mention come from LA Colors. They are found in Dollar Tree, Family Dollar and a lot of other places. They cost a dollar, and come in a bunch of different shades and formulas. They have glitter toppers as well as creams. The down fall to LA Colors is that the formulas on these are hit and miss. Some of them go on really nice and smooth, and the other ones go on a little streaky and patchy. They also chip pretty fast as well.

The first shade I want to mention is a really pretty coral shade. The name of this shade is Frill. I really love this color, and I have used it in some nail art and it works wonders. This color, however, is a little sheer, so it does require three coats to be fully opaque. It applies easily and is not patchy or streaky when I have used it.

The next polish I want to discuss from LA Colors is a bright fuchsia colors. If you have not seen a trend yet, I tend to gravitate towards bright colors, lol. This color is a great polish and is opaque in one coat. The formula on this polish is really good for a dollar nail polish. The name of the polish is Electra. I really like this color, and tend to use this one quite a bit, just by itself or in nail art.

The last color I want to mention from LA Colors is a pretty, shimmery silver.  I use this quite often as just an accent nail. It has a lot of shimmer to it as it is a metallic nail polish. The formula on this polish is really good, even though it takes two coats to be fully opaque. The picture of the bottle did not come out real good. I had a hard time getting a good swatch on the wheel that would look good in pictures. I am sorry that I cannot show you what it looks like on. But if you are looking for a beautiful metallic silver, check this one out. By the way, the name of this polish is Live.

That is all the ones that I wanted to show you today. I am sorry that this blog is so long this time, but this is just scratching the surface of my favorite nail polish colors.

I recommend all of the brands that I posted about here, as they are really affordable and they are of really good quality for the price that you pay.
